Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our Europe Supplier Commodity Managers Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality performance of suppliers within the Forging, Casting, and Machining Commodity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure supplier quality for Forging, Casting, and Machining Commodity by performing assessment audits and follow-up on defined actions.
- Support commodity panel management and development of sub-commodity, preparing decisions for the SQC Leader and Commodity buyer(s) for selection of suppliers.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to ensure effective COPQ recovery process from suppliers.
- Develop skills to drive long-term improvement with standardization activities on FCM Commodities.
- Support suppliers with growth activities, guidance, and improvement of their internal processes.
Requirements
- Engineering or Metallurgy degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality in a globalized industrial environment.
- Knowledge of Mechanical drawing and experience in Machining and Casting processes.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Travel availability of at least 30%-40% of time, mainly in Europe.
- Legal authorization to work in EU is required.
