Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quality Engineer to join our team in Tarragona, Spain.

About the Role

As a Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services. You will work closely with our customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate quality risks. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing quality plans, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality plans for assigned projects
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks through proactive measures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the project
  • Manage and resolve customer non-conformities in accordance with QRQC principles
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field
  • Knowledge of quality principles, including 8D, QRQC, 5W, FTA, FMEA, and MSA
  • Knowledge of quality systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO TS 22163
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
