Job Title: Project Quality Engineer

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quality Engineer to join our team in Tarragona, Spain. As a Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, working closely with our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, plan, and organize First Article Inspections (FAIs) in cooperation with the Project Core Team Members.
  • Manage the product certification process with approval authorities.
  • Deploy and drive Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and define quality requirements for projects.
  • Manage quality planning, reviews, performance, and records of contracts in cooperation with Project Managers.
  • Assure delivery of quality deliverables at project gates, according to agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Reject and block non-conforming products or documents from release, and manage quality records.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree and 4+ years of experience in Quality (customer, warranty, projects).
  • Knowledge of Quality tools (Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, 8D, FTA, QRQC, SPC, 5S, APQP).
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001, ISOTS 22163 "IRIS").
  • Professional knowledge of English.
  • Good communication skills, charisma, and ability to influence others.
  • Analytic mindset and collaborative teamwork orientation.
