Position Details
As an IT Support Trainee at Ecolab, you will be based in our office and work closely with various IT teams. Our organization utilizes cutting-edge technologies across different sectors, including user support, cybersecurity, and data analytics, collaborating with our business units to achieve optimal outcomes. This internship is designed to equip you with vital IT and business skills through active participation in projects that drive success for Ecolab.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to IT users under direct supervision.
  • Employ basic analytical methods to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while assisting in root cause analysis.
  • Utilize remote access tools to deliver support across various locations.
  • Engage with IT users regularly, applying strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with other support teams on IT-related projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors for user support, including managing hardware maintenance requests.
  • Adhere to ITIL processes to ensure efficient incident management and accurate system documentation.

Key Duties

  • Conduct basic incident and problem analysis to resolve user requests.
  • Manage hardware and software change requests as assigned.
  • Provide implementation support as needed.
  • Attend user meetings to offer local assistance.
  • Collaborate with IT and Global support teams to maintain high service availability for regional infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficient in English (both verbal and written); knowledge of Spanish or Italian is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 and Windows 11.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable team player with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of local client configurations, including SMS and SAP GUI.
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access setup and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting Android mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with remote support software such as GoToAssist or Bomgar.
