Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our Global Supply Chain team at Greif. As a key member of our sourcing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing strategies and execute procurement plans
- Measure and track internal performance metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance
- Support the development and implementation of supplier relationship management programs
- Proactively communicate with suppliers to prevent and resolve quality issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in category management and sourcing, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships with suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
