Job Title: Middle Distillates Trader

As a key member of our trading team, you will be responsible for navigating the dynamic Middle Distillates market, focusing on profitability and risk management. Your mission is to identify opportunities and optimize trading strategies to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement trading strategies to maintain profitability and manage risk within established parameters.
  • Engage in active trading and portfolio management, leveraging market intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless trading operations and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, leveraging relationships and market insights to drive business expansion.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of market risks and exposure to make informed trading decisions.
  • Adjust and optimize trading strategies in response to market fluctuations and operational challenges.
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge and strategic direction of the trading team through sharing market intelligence and tactical approaches.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a few years experience in commercial negotiations for storage, pipeline, transportation, and commodity contracts.
  • Proven track record of successful trading results.
  • Comfort with financial derivatives, experience in trading regional arbitrage with diverse derivative instruments and freight, and an understanding of refining economics.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate complex business problems, creating effective trading solutions.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and additional language skills, such as Spanish, are advantageous.
  • Ability to work under significant pressure, demonstrating high resilience and availability.
