About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Middle Distillates Trader to join our team at CEPSA. As a key member of our trading team, you will be responsible for navigating the dynamic Middle Distillates market, identifying profitable opportunities, and executing trading strategies that align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Market Analysis and Trading: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profitability while managing risk exposure.
  2. Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of Middle Distillates trades, ensuring that they are aligned with our risk management parameters and organizational goals.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
  4. Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market developments, trends, and regulations, providing market intelligence to inform trading decisions.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other trading team members, operations, and mid- and back-office colleagues to ensure seamless execution of trading activities.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Experience: Minimum of a few years of experience in commercial negotiations for storage, pipeline, transportation, and commodity contracts.
  2. Trading Skills: Proven track record of successful trading results, with a strong understanding of financial derivatives, regional arbitrage, and freight.
  3. Analytical Skills: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to comprehend and articulate complex business problems.
  4. Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills such as Spanish being advantageous.
  5. Personal Qualities: High resilience, availability, and ability to work under significant pressure.
