Biological Laboratory Support Specialist for ALBA Synchrotron

At ALBA Synchrotron, we are committed to delivering state-of-the-art scientific research and services in the field of life sciences. We offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technician to join our Experiments Division as a Biological Laboratory Support Specialist.
We are seeking a highly motivated and well-trained individual with good technical skills in biology to work at our biological laboratories (Bio Lab) located at the Experimental Hall close to the life science beamlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management of the Bio Lab, providing support to users and beamlines, maintaining equipment, supporting ongoing experiments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

We offer a permanent contract with a competitive salary, which is estimated to be around €45,000 - €55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

To succeed in this role, you will need to hold an advanced professional training course in biological laboratory techniques or a life sciences degree, with at least 3 years of experience as a biological laboratory technician. You must also have a good level of English both written and spoken.
The selection process will be carried out through a competition-opposition system, with a first phase consisting of an analysis of the curriculum followed by an interview to assess technical competence, knowledge, skills, and professional experience.
