We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled X-Ray Imaging Specialist to join our team at the FaXToR beamline. The successful candidate will have a PhD in physics, chemical/biomedical engineering, material science, computer science or related disciplines, with a strong background in X-ray imaging techniques and instrumentation.
The FaXToR beamline is a 4th generation facility that provides unprecedented brightness and coherent flux, making it an ideal platform for researchers to explore new frontiers in life sciences and materials science. As an X-Ray Imaging Specialist, you will play a key role in developing innovative hardware and software tools for synchrotron-based single-shot phase contrast X-ray imaging, as well as providing support to scientific users and contributing to the development of the beamline's research program.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and scientists from diverse backgrounds. You will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to groundbreaking research projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, as well as experience with data processing and analysis.
As an employee of Alba Synchrotron, you can expect a competitive salary of €40,000 - €60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as access to comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.
