Our institute has a diverse portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases, including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from molecular to population-level research.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented computer programmer to join our research team at ISGlobal. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation of a new research database, working closely with our scientists to adapt the data to their scientific needs.
Key Responsibilities- Search for and download open-access data sources
- Implement harmonization protocols for data integration
- Write and run scripts to transform data into a common format
- Interact with scientists to adapt data to their needs
- Good programming skills in R
- Experience with Linux environment and scripting
- Experience with Shiny, Python, and/or NetCDF
- Experience with Shapefiles and geospatial data
- Experience with climate and/or health data management and analysis
- Good level of English
