About the Role
Haleon is seeking a seasoned Legal & Compliance professional to lead our Iberia region. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance on legal and compliance matters, ensuring our business operations align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage external advisors to ensure timely and effective legal and compliance support across Spain and Portugal.
- Develop and recommend policies and practices to mitigate potential legal and compliance risks.
- Counsel leadership on legal, policy, compliance, transactional, and commercial issues, integrating legal and compliance knowledge with business acumen.
- Engage external legal counsel to interpret pending or new legislation and regulatory rules affecting the business.
- Educate client businesses on sound legal and compliance practices and new developments affecting the business.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with external parties, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with the business to ensure appropriate governance over contracts and compliance records.
- Manage litigation in accordance with Haleon's strategy, collaborating with the Group Litigation Department.
- Review business, scientific, commercial, sales, and marketing communications, advising on strategic language to manage risk while maximizing business benefit.
- Contribute to the development of Haleon's strategy and risk management through active participation in regional teams and proactive work with Compliance and global legal teams.
- Promote ethical decision-making and ensure activities in the market align with Haleon's Code of Conduct and core values.
- Participate in activities related to our Compliance Program, including anti-bribery and corruption, conflict of interest, Speak Up, and Privacy.
