Industrial IoT Architect Job Description

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. We are seeking an experienced Industrial IoT Architect to join our global team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement comprehensive IIoT solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing industrial systems.
  • Develop network solutions that ensure secure data exchange between IoT devices and central servers.
  • Lead the deployment of IoT devices and systems across industrial settings.
  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to create a unified strategy for IoT implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support for deployed IoT solutions, including regular updates and troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IoT Architect, Systems Architect, or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on development experience is a strong additional asset.
  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, actuators, edge gateways, and communications protocols.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and IoT frameworks/platforms.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Certifications related to IoT, network security, or cloud computing.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
