About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Events to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Mallorca. The successful candidate will have a clear sales and creative approach, with a proven track record of negotiating and organizing groups and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication with all departments.
- Conduct site visits with potential clients and verify prior to arrival that all involved departments have the most updated information regarding group and event requirements.
- Supervise the execution of all groups and events, and attend meetings with hotel staff and clients.
- Keep Golden Sales Catering and Opera constantly up to date with the latest client information.
- Make timely decisions that balance client needs with the financial, safety, and staffing goals of the hotel.
- Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related client needs.
- Contribute to the preparation of forecasts and budgets.
Requirements
- Excellent Spanish and English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills.
- High level of creativity and attention to detail.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Outgoing and open-minded personality with leadership experience.
- Previous experience in a similar position (minimum of 1 year) within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.
- Knowledge of Golden Sales Catering and Opera is preferred.
