About the Role

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groups & Events Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving group business and events revenue for our luxury hotel in Ibiza.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Market Analysis and Strategy

Analyze international and local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that maintain our hotel's position as a leader in the marketplace.

Sales and Lead Generation

Perform day-to-day sales activity, including lead generation, face-to-face meetings, contracting, and rate negotiation, site inspections, and client entertainment.

Trade Show and Event Attendance

Attend MICE trade shows and industry events as required and file sales trip reports upon return.

Reporting and Analysis

Responsible for producing weekly and monthly booking reports for G&E revenue.

Team Leadership and Training

Lead and train the Group & Events reactive team to efficiently manage event planning once contracts are signed.

Communication and Collaboration

Proactively communicate with the Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing regarding group pace, pick-up, and conversion, highlighting issues and opportunities where necessary.

Relationship Building

Maintain good, positive, collaborative relationships with other departments across the hotel, including Front of House, F&B, and Finance.

Client Management

Host pre-event meetings with clients and the F&B team to introduce the operations team and coordinate last-minute details.

Post-Event Follow-up

Proactively follow up with clients post-event for feedback.

Platform Management

Manage multiple platforms, including Delphi.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform any additional tasks given by the Director of Sales or Director of Sales & Marketing.

Requirements
  1. Experience

Possess a minimum of 5 years of total experience in hospitality or hotel sales settings, with direct supervisory experience over an events team.

Professionalism and Global Understanding

High degree of professionalism with a strong understanding of global markets and business.

Language Skills

Fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.

Work Permit or EU Citizenship

Valid Spanish work permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role.

Organizational Skills

Strong organizational skills, including follow-up and time management.
