About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team at LanguageWire. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across all our entities in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain payroll computations, ensuring high standards of compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure the collection of payroll processing documents and other accounting input and tax information in a timely manner.
  • Check input payroll data and documents for compliance with local regulations and contracts.
  • Process filing of documents in accordance with our established filing system and maintain complete and organized files.
  • Meet established deadlines for payroll processing in countries where LanguageWire operates.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and inform superiors of any changes.
  • Review and check the accuracy of entered input data and output results.
  • Liaise with external parties, such as auditors, bankers, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure reimbursement in case of sickness and maternity according to country regulations.
  • Deliver reports and analysis to the organization.
  • Process, approve, and post incoming invoices in our current Accounts Payable software.
  • Report changes to third parties, such as pension providers, when changes to the payroll occur.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Curiosity and willingness to expand knowledge of payroll in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Flexibility to work around different payroll deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize important projects and meet deadlines.
  • Flair for numbers, Excel, and at least 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
