Job Overview:

We are seeking an Associate Contracts Manager to be based in Madrid to support Amazon Studios' rapidly growing businesses.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and implement process improvements, effectively work cross-functionally with other teams, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and manage various television development and production agreements, including short-form individual services agreements.
  • Manage paperwork and legal processes, advising creative, finance, and other internal stakeholders on contractual terms.
  • Manage projects through the right management system and conduct periodic audits to ensure contractual and guild compliance.
  • Assist with legal operations and process improvements and conduct client trainings.
  • Liaise with production companies engaged by Amazon Studios to walk them through our production guidelines and legal processes.
  • Monitor the status of options over IP rights and coordinate with external counsel to ensure the delivery of Amazon Studios' production templates.
  • Ensure the execution of key production agreements and coordinate with external counsel to review rough cuts and escalate internally legal and content-related issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal department.
  • Experience working with third-party contractual relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous in-house legal experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many simultaneous workstreams, clients, and projects under tight deadlines.
