We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in Madrid. As an Associate Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of Amazon Studios' businesses in the EU.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and documenting various television development and production agreements, including short-form individual services agreements.
  2. Coordinating with internal stakeholders to advise on contractual terms and managing paperwork and legal processes.
  3. Overseeing projects through the right management system and conducting periodic audits to ensure contractual and guild compliance.
  4. Collaborating with the legal operations team to identify and implement process improvements and conducting client trainings.
  5. Liaising with production companies engaged by Amazon Studios to provide guidance on production guidelines and legal processes, as well as monitoring their compliance with them.
  6. Monitoring the status of options over IP rights and coordinating with external counsel to ensure the delivery of production templates.
  7. Ensuring the execution of key production agreements and coordinating with external counsel to review rough cuts and escalate internal legal and content-related issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a legal department.
  • Proven experience working with third-party contractual relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous in-house legal experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams, clients, and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
