Job Title: Shipping Operations Area Manager

Amazon Road Transport Spain, S.L.U. - J27 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Operations Area Manager to join our team in Madrid, Spain.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual to lead our transportation and logistics operations in Spain. As a Shipping Operations Area Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing our transportation network, managing daily and weekly metrics, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Performance Management: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs across multiple sites.
  • Management of Daily/Weekly Metrics: Analyze and report on key performance indicators to inform business decisions.
  • Supply Chain Ownership: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve supply chain defects.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Develop and implement plans to minimize risk to pick-up operations.
  • Liaison with Amazon Teams: Collaborate with various teams to define, build, and deploy products to delight customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, and related industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience managing data and developing performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or related fields degree.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments.
  • Experience in change management and growth environments.
  • Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
