Job Description

Job Title: Global Strategic Business Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Strategic Business Controller to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing global business strategies that drive financial performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the company's global business strategy, aligning with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders to determine strategy for their area of responsibility and develop a global business model.
  • Define strategic actions, including financial impact, and translate strategy into business plans.
  • Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions and recommend actions.
  • Monitor performance of the company's portfolio, including product launches, and define benchmarks for measuring product-line performance.
  • Support the implementation of best practices and live the company's core values of safety and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant business degree.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience of progressive growth in financial controller-related roles at the manufacturing plant level.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions while working well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with process capability, statistical process control, and strong project management skills.
  • Must have a sense of urgency for change and improvement, with a balanced approach to risk-taking and achieving results.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills, including executive presentation skills, able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are an added advantage.
