Our Digital and Analytics Practice

Data & Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, set up in 2017 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has since expanded across Europe, including Milan, Berlin, Madrid and Athens. The practice is a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists. We work closely with our colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint: Working across multiple industries including but not limited to Financial Services, Insurance, Retail and Transportation.

What You Will Do
  • Manage projects and work on one or more projects at a time
  • Design and implement data products from both analytical and software points of view
  • Develop hypotheses, manage data collection, model creation and analyses, conduct primary and secondary research, creatively tackle information limitations, and surface insights
  • Client presentations and interaction for decision making related to technical aspects of the project
  • Use Partners and the internal network effectively to provide technical and senior-level steer to projects
  • Work in a team together with clients to complete project deliverables to high standard
  • Maintain energy and positive work life balance of team
  • Coach Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of previous working experience for Associate Team Leader, and at least 5 years of previous working experience for Team Leader
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (desirable)
  • Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
  • Experience in using advanced analytics such as Python, Matlab and R, and data manipulation softwares such as SAS and SQL
  • Experience with data products development and productization at scale: development lifecycle, maintenance, agile methodologies
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team, be independent and work under limited supervision respecting defined timelines, present results effectively, highlighting potential issues and implications, and maintain and respect confidentiality
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage a demanding work volume and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly
