Job Description

Job Title: Head of Software Development and Systems Architecture

Job Summary:

Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Software Development and Systems Architecture team. As a key member of our Digital Transformation Area, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our strategic data plan, including system architecture, data architecture, and AI architecture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the strategic data plan for VHIR, including system architecture, data architecture, and AI architecture.
  • Software Development Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to software development, from conception to final delivery.
  • System and Data Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists to refine models and improve performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development project management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge in Agile and DevOps, experience with cloud platforms, data visualization tools, and machine learning frameworks.
