About the Role
The Childcare and Family Policies Chair at Institute for Advanced Family Studies (IESF) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of research projects, including the relationship between families and school, childcare, time use surveys, bullying and cyberbullying, and family policies.
Key Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow will take a leadership role in the Chair, mentored by Prof. Montserrat Gas and Prof. Marc Grau. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and supervising data analyses, writing manuscripts for publication in scientific journals, and assisting with and leading the writing of grant applications for research funding.
Requirements
PhD degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Policy, or Education is required. Previous work on family studies is preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and a proven track record of publishing research papers in high-impact journals.
Assessment Criteria
The following aspects of the applicant's CV will be considered:
- Professional knowledge and experience (75%): The ability to undertake mentored research with a high degree of independence.
- Research experience abroad in the area of family studies (55%): Special attention will be paid to applicants who have made valuable contributions in the area of scientific productivity by publishing research papers in high-impact journals.
- Specialized software (30%): Qualitative analyses, statistical analysis, and proficiency in speaking and writing in English (15%).
