About the Role: As our VP of Human Resources, you will be responsible for leading our people functions, including business partnering, people operations, office management, and talent acquisition. This role requires a strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to drive results and make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement People Strategies: You will work closely with our leadership team to develop and implement people strategies that align with our business objectives.
  2. Lead a High-Performing Team: You will lead a team of 5-10 members, responsible for various people functions, and help them grow and develop through your leadership.
  3. Drive Business Results: You will be responsible for driving business results through your people initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  4. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to ensure our people strategy is aligned with our business objectives.
  5. Ensure Compliance: You will ensure that our people practices are compliant with local employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  1. People Leadership Experience: You have been a successful people leader (Head+ level) in a startup/scaleup, ideally for the stage Hive Logistics is going into now (Series B/C), showcasing strong results, thoughtfulness, drive, and knowledge on best practices.
  2. Team Leadership Experience: You were responsible for a team and helped them grow, develop, and thrive through your leadership.
  3. Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Your analytical and strategic thinking skills enable you to identify and execute on people initiatives by making data-driven decisions that align with the company's objectives.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills & Attention to Detail: You have a proactive and solution-oriented approach, able to anticipate challenges and address them effectively to keep projects on track and always think one step ahead to be on top of the details.
  5. Language Proficiency & Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills in English are required, and additional fluency in German, French, Italian, Spanish, or other European languages is advantageous due to the multinational scope of the role.
  6. You are based in or willing to relocate to Berlin: We believe that in-person collaboration & communication makes people leaders more successful; therefore, this is a hard requirement for this position.
