About the Role

Group-Ips Group is seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to join our team in Spain. As a BIM Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the implementation of BIM processes and technologies within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume a dual role within the organization, serving as the BIM coordinator on projects and owning the standard operating procedure (SOP) of BIM.
  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and select the most suitable vendors for the project.
  • Design and implement procurement processes, including the issuance of Requests for Interests (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Questions and Answers (Q&A), Bid comparisons, Contract Awarding.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
  • Oversee and track procurement processes, harmonizing scopes and systematically reporting progress and risks to project management.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, including scope of work, deliverables, payment terms, warranties, liability clauses, change order procedures, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with BIM software tools and technologies, specifically in REVIT, Navisworks Manage and BIM360.
  • 8 to 10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in similar positions and activities.
  • Fluency in English and French/Dutch.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) and COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project management and leadership skills to plan, organize, and execute BIM initiatives.
  • Innovator, open to new ideas/developments and willing to drive them.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex BIM-related challenges.
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of BIM professionals.
  • Certification in BIM, such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or BuildingSMART Professional Certification, is often preferred.
