About Us

Winning Consulting is currently recruiting a Spanish Branch Compliance Officer to join a Financial Institution in Madrid.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing Spanish branch compliance frameworks to meet local regulatory obligations.
  2. Coordinating all Spanish branch regulator queries and audits/reviews.
  3. Managing local Spanish branch upstreaming frameworks.
  4. Ensuring local branch adherence to policies, procedures, and practices framed by the compliance function, while ensuring compliance with specific local Spanish legislation, rules, and regulations.
  5. Timely and accurate completion and submission of Spanish branch regulatory returns.
  6. Completing customer onboarding and refresh reviews, client account queries.
  7. Customer payment queries and transaction monitoring alerting reviews.
  8. Completing 2nd line branch compliance monitoring reviews.
  9. Assisting with general compliance tasks for the legal entity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Significant experience and understanding of compliance frameworks and EU regulatory requirements.
  2. Experience with Spanish regulatory authorities.
  3. Experience managing relations with first and third lines of defense as well as Group relationships.

Skills

The successful candidate will possess:

  1. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. Relationship building with people at varying levels of seniority.
  3. Knowledge of the FX industry and products.
  4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Commercial acumen.
  6. Interest in regulatory obligations and environment.

Education

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Degree.
  2. Compliance/Regulatory qualification.
  3. AML/CTF/FS qualification/exams/training.

Languages

The successful candidate will be fluent in:

  1. English/Spanish.
