Feverup is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Junior Legal Counsel to join its dynamic Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance department. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in promoting and defending the company's interests in various pre-litigation disputes, litigation, and other adversarial proceedings globally.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the litigation and liability management department, as well as various business teams, including legal research, analysis, and strategy recommendations on a wide range of pre-litigation disputes globally.
- Work closely with Feverup's internal human resources and people management teams to ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international legislation.
- Support the investigation and resolution of claims arising out of Feverup's Equal and Fair Workplace Policy.
- Promote fair and objective conflict resolution to ensure just outcomes for parties involved.
- Work closely with Feverup's liability and crisis management teams to assist in responding to incidents and continuously improve Feverup's risk assessment and management policies and procedures.
- Assist in responding to government audits and other regulatory inquiries.
- Coordinate and prioritize work with external legal advisors.
- Draft and review a variety of legal documents to support the work of the legal team.
- Be a barred lawyer with 1-3 years of PQE, preferably with prior experience in either litigation or labor and employment law, either in a law firm, governmental, corporate, or non-profit setting.
- Possess exceptional judgment and discretion.
- Previous experience as an oral advocate, whether in a legal or non-legal setting, is highly preferred.
- Speak fluent English with a command of legal English.
- Other languages are a plus.
- Ability to efficiently distill complex legal problems into succinct, clear, and actionable advice.
- Have excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Be a highly emotionally intelligent professional and communicator.
