About the Role

BOARD Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Strategic Technology Leader to join our IT team and lead our organization's technology strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.

The Enterprise Solution Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Document Technology Strategy: Develop and document the overall technology strategy, considering long-term business objectives and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders (including executives, business leaders, and IT teams) to comprehend their needs and requirements.
  • Evaluate and Select Technologies: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for strategic solutions.
  • Develop Architectural Standards: Develop and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Ensure Solution Quality: Ensure that solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams during solution implementation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to strategic solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of solutions and their components.
  • Technical Vision and Strategy: Prioritize the technical vision and strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
  • Solution Assessment: Assess technical solutions and verify their alignment with business needs.
  • Integration and Innovation: Seamlessly integrate new solutions with existing systems and technologies, and drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 7+ years of professional Information Technology experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering systems.
  • Solutions Architecture Experience: 5+ years of hands-on solutions architecture experience with a focus on strategic planning and enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Integration Technology Experience: Integration technology, platform, and API solution experience.
  • Application Architecture Knowledge: Knowledge of Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution) at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to translate technical ideas/designs to multiple audiences, including Executives.
  • SDLC and Agile Experience: Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC / Agile methods.
  • Team Player: Team player. Proven ability to work effectively within an international organization that operates using a matrix organization.
  • English Language Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are a plus.
