About the Role

Tecnicas Reunidas, a leading Oil & Gas International Engineering and Construction Company, is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join our Inspection Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our projects, particularly in the areas of mechanical equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications and detect quality control requirements to be included in purchase orders.
  • Internal review of quality control requirements included in purchase orders before issuance to vendors.
  • Review and comment on vendor manufacturing documents, including inspection and test plans, manufacturing purchase specifications, and test procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule workshop inspection visits with inspection representatives from vendors, Tecnicas Reunidas, and clients.
  • Lead pre-inspection meetings for applicable purchase orders.
  • Request and select adequate inspectors for related inspection activities.
  • Handle notice of inspections with all involved parties.
  • Attend critical inspection visits when necessary.
  • Review, control, and distribute inspection reports.
  • Manage non-conformance reports with vendors and clients.
  • Participate in meetings with project areas and disciplines as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control of manufacturing of static equipment, package units, valves, and piping components.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, and NACE codes.
  • Experience in producing and reviewing manufacturing and quality documents.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
  • Fluent English written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • International Welding Engineer/Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP).
  • BGAS/NACE/FROSIO painting and coating qualification.
  • API certifications (936, 570, 571, SIFE, SIRE).
