About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Marketing Lead to join our team at Make. As a key member of our marketing department, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and engaging our user and customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Crafting and Executing Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create targeted campaigns aimed at converting, retaining, and expanding our user base, reducing churn, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  2. Developing and Managing Experiments: Develop and manage end-to-end experiments and automated flows, from ideation and planning to execution and reporting.
  3. Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Manage customer segmentation and targeting to ensure that campaigns are personalized and relevant to the customer.
  4. Integrating Marketing Efforts: Integrate customer marketing efforts into broader marketing campaigns.
  5. Channel Expansion: Leverage channels beyond email to retain and grow our customer base.
  6. Data-Driven Insights: Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement in customer communication and engagement.
  7. Measuring and Reporting: Measure and report on the progress of customer marketing campaign performance.
  8. Email Best Practices: Develop & distribute email best practices to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Experience in Email Marketing: 5+ years of experience in email marketing with demonstrated knowledge of email best practices including deliverability, personalization, subject lines, reporting, send time optimization.
  2. Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience in managing and leading a digital marketing team.
  3. Customer Marketing Experience: Proven experience in customer marketing in a B2B SaaS environment developing and executing lifecycle marketing strategies that deliver on key acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
  4. Experimental and Analytical Mindset: Strong experimental and analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and optimize marketing efforts.
  5. Team Management: Proven track record in managing and growing a motivated customer marketing team.
  6. Communication Skills: Proficiency in English with the ability to create compelling messaging and content.
  7. Email Design and Coding: Familiarity with email design and coding concepts such as HTML, CSS, Canva, Figma.
  8. Marketing Automation Tools: Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp).
  9. Customer-Centric Marketing: Passion for customer-centric marketing and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
