About the Role:
Nordex Group is seeking a skilled Control Systems Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our control systems team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control technology functions for wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software functions for wind turbine control systems using Model-Based-Design and code generation approaches.
- Develop and test control algorithms for wind turbine control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other wind turbine components.
- Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure software meets requirements and is free from defects.
- Develop and maintain software documentation to support wind turbine control systems.
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Control, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in PLC software development using Matlab/Simulink and IEC61131.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communications protocols (Profinet, ModBus TCP, CAN).
- Good understanding of control design techniques (Robust Control, Kalman Filters).
- Desirable experience in Predictive Control, Fault Tolerant Control, System Identification, and Machine Learning Algorithms.
- English language proficiency (very good written and spoken). German or Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Independent, reliable, and systematic/structured work style with strong communication and team skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience.
- Availability to travel.
