Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at Somma, where you will play a key role in the development of AI models for chip design and validation processes. As a Research Engineer, you will work at the intersection of computer hardware and AI, performing engineering and research-oriented tasks through programming, documentation, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of task-specific applications of AI models for chip-related purposes
  • Lead the data gathering and pre-processing pipelines
  • Conduct the design and training of AI models
  • Implement reliable, reproducible, and automated training and evaluation methodologies
  • Document and disseminate the work done

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in STEM
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
    • Experience in a research-oriented position (1 year minimum)
    • Experience in writing scientific papers (1 paper minimum)
    • Experience in tensor networks (6 months minimum)
    • Experience in optimization problems (6 months minimum)
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:
    • Fluent English and Spanish are a must. Catalan is desirable.
    • Mathematical background is desirable.
