Job Description

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our Computer Architecture and Operating System group. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing existing solutions for space processors, including AI accelerators, and developing new features in them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement existing hardware solutions, such as AI accelerators, to new space processors
  • Port hardware designs to FPGAs
  • Participate in tape-out activities
  • Evaluate the performance of developed hardware designs
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: C, C++, CUDA, Python programming, hardware design languages (System Verilog, VHDL), LaTeX
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Experience with real-time, critical systems and/or reliability, experience with hardware description code of at least one open source embedded processor, familiarity with AI and at least one AI framework
  • Competences: Problem-solving, pro-active, result-oriented work attitude, ability to perform work both individually and in a team, good communication skills
