About the Position

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team in the Computer Sciences Department. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for working on AI solutions for safety-critical systems, focusing on diverse redundancy for AI using appropriate accelerators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software-only solutions for low-cost diverse redundancy for AI algorithms and test them on relevant COTS processors.
  • Design and develop hardware/software solutions for low-cost diverse redundancy for AI algorithms and test them on appropriate hardware prototypes.
  • Lead a small team of junior engineers and students contributing to these tasks.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Sciences, or Telecommunications, with a PhD in the area preferred.
  • Practical experience using COTS processors, performance simulators, and research.
  • Knowledge of AI basic concepts.
  • Experience with NVIDIA GPUs and GPUsim is welcome.
Competencies
  • Problem-solving and pro-active work attitude.
  • Good communication skills, including a good command of the English language (written and spoken).
