**Job Overview**
We are seeking a diligent Cleaner - General Shop Assistant to join our team at Japan Centre Leicester Square. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our store, ensuring an inviting atmosphere for customers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain all store areas, including floors and public spaces, in a clean and tidy state.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support restocking shelves and organising displays to maintain a visually appealing store presentation.
- Contribute to general cleaning tasks, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and accurately placing stock on shelves when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards to promote a safe shopping environment.
- Operate and maintain store equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
**Additional Duties:**
- Greet customers while performing cleaning tasks or making rounds on the shop floor.
- Face up shelf products when available time allows, contributing to an organised store appearance.
- Work on the shop floor as needed, supporting customer service and providing assistance.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning or general assistant role is preferred.
**Important Information:**
A two-hour trial shift will be required before employment is confirmed. We offer competitive compensation, reflecting the salary range typical for this role in London (£11.44/hour). The estimated annual salary for this position would be around £23,500, based on standard full-time hours.
