About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Officer to join our team at ZF Friedrichshafen AG. As a key member of our Purchasing department, you will be responsible for implementing purchasing strategies aligned with our Domain Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to secure our business needs.
  2. Manage frame contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal cost-effective balance of local and global sourcing options.
  3. Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, price, technology, delivery, and project development.
  4. Conduct purchasing reporting and analysis as requested by senior management.
  5. Track delivery performance and support procurement activities for key suppliers.
  6. Provide strong support to our global plants to ensure optimal cost-effective balance of local and global sourcing options and negotiate for local and global demand.
  7. Implement NPI sourcing strategy and make sourcing decisions on time.
  8. Benchmark to find the best cost sourcing options to keep us competitive.
  9. Undertake any ad hoc duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of purchase and project management.
  • Experience with MRP system will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of purchase processes and project management.
  • Experience in contract/price negotiations and sourcing.
  • Experience with demand forecasting, planning, and procurement activities.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish languages.
  • A good team player who is proactive, independent, and resourceful.
