About the Role

The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to Softonic operations on a wide range of legal matters. This role will play a vital part in ensuring that the company operates within legal boundaries and mitigates legal risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate legal advice to management and various departments on legal issues affecting the organization's operations in collaboration with our external legal firms.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they comply with applicable laws and accurately reflect the company's interests using the company legal suite Linksquares.
• Identify potential legal & compliance risks and liabilities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Assist in the resolution of legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization's industry and ensure that compliance programs are up to date and effective.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience as a legal officer or in a similar legal role for at least 6 years.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
• Experience or exposure in Compliance and Privacy.
• Validated experience in Spanish Corporate affairs.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
