About the Role

The Indirect Tax Specialist will be an integral part of the Bunge Iberica SA team, responsible for ensuring the company's VAT compliance obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires a strong understanding of European VAT rules and regulations, as well as experience with accounting and financial systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • VAT Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT declarations and returns for all EU VAT registration entities.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in the VAT compliance process and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the cash team to ensure accurate and timely payments, and with the Accounts Payable team to ensure correct VAT treatment of transactions.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to internal departments to expand their VAT knowledge and ensure the company's VAT compliance status.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc support to the Indirect Tax Team and local Tax managers on VAT-related issues.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an Indirect Tax Specialist.
  • 3+ years of professional practice in multinational companies.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; German is a plus.
  • Significant experience in accounting and knowledge of European VAT rules and regulations.
  • Numerical and analytical skills, as well as system knowledge (SAP, SAP S/4 HANA).
