Job Description

Job Title: Global Indirect Tax Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Global Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team at Agilent. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in European Value Added Tax (VAT) and/or Goods and Services (GST) compliance in multiple jurisdictions, process improvements, consulting, and tax technology for multinationals with complex supply-chain structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide VAT/GST inputs and advice on business projects and initiatives, including mergers & acquisitions, supply chain changes, legislative changes, and ERP-related initiatives for SAP.
  • Work closely with Global Tax colleagues and members of other functions located around the world to deliver VAT/GST compliance solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, including Agilent's businesses and global infrastructure functions, to provide clear and concise VAT/GST advice.
  • Share knowledge and information with the VAT/GST team located in the company's Tax Hub to facilitate the development of more junior colleagues and increase the depth of knowledge of the entire VAT/GST team.
  • Work independently and have a practical approach to VAT/GST compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in valued added tax compliance, consulting, and/or tax technology for multinational companies.
  • Track record of indirect tax consulting/advising on complex supply chains.
  • Practical experience in European VAT compliance work, VAT/GST consulting on projects, and/or involvement in ERP implementations or other ERP-related projects related to indirect tax.
  • Experience with ERP system(s), especially SAP, is valued.
  • Previous experience working at a large multinational organization is valued.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent English is mandatory; Spanish, German, and other languages are a plus.

This job has a full-time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
