Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team at Bunge. As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of VAT declarations and returns for all EU VAT registration entities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit VAT declarations and returns for all EU VAT registration entities.
  • Pro-actively follow up and resolve issues found in the reconciliation and VAT compliance process.
  • Ensure VAT, Intrastat, and ESL are reported correctly and timely for the assigned VAT registrations.
  • E-file declarations in a secured internet environment.
  • Work closely with the cash team to ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Perform VAT reconciliations and follow up with Accounts Payable team and Execution teams to ensure correct VAT treatment of transactions.
  • Provide training to internal departments to expand their VAT knowledge ensuring the VAT compliance status of the company.
  • Advise on ad hoc VAT issues.
  • Support the Indirect Tax Team with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Support local Tax managers in handling external VAT audits and queries.
  • Participate in projects to improve the VAT compliance process.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Indirect Tax Specialist.
  • 3+ years of professional practice in multinational companies.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is required; German is a plus.
  • Significant experience in accounting and knowledge of European VAT rules and regulations.
  • Numerical and analytical skills are required together with system knowledge (SAP, SAP S/4 HANA).
