As a Senior Technical Consultant - Field Application Engineering, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between our company and customers in the Field Application Business Development team.

You will be responsible for promoting and supporting our components (passive and semiconductors) to customers, ensuring a seamless link between our sales team and product development for customer technical requests.

You will focus on the industrial sector and undertake the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical clarification of customer applications and develop conceptual solution proposals for all active and passive components.
  • Offer competent advice to customers (developers) on technical questions related to VISHAY components.
  • Facilitate internal communication and cooperation with all divisions.
  • Determine the components behind specific applications and design-in selected components.
  • Specify and evaluate customer tasks using existing components (possibly new product ideas for divisions).
  • Systematically collect and arrange relevant information on customer tasks and forward to responsible divisions within the company.
  • Bring application knowledge into the company (R&D, Marketing, Sales).

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field.
  • Experience with electronic components (function/structure/application).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Negotiation and presentation skills.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel.
