About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Supply Chain Development Manager to join our team at AkzoNobel, a leading paints and coatings company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a clear supplier development culture, coordinating sustainability initiatives, and leading the supplier audit process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and deploy a clear supplier development culture aligned with quality, delivery, and sustainability principles.
  • Coordinate sustainability initiatives in the region to achieve AkzoNobel's ambitions.
  • Lead the supplier audit process to ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
  • Work with regional procurement, ISC, and key supplier managers to improve service levels and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Onboard procurement community in the region to understand company sustainability ambitions and integrate them into daily procurement activities.
  • Implement cross-BU high-standard procurement processes across the region aligned with customer expectations and requirements.
Requirements
  • University or Master's degree level.
  • 10 years of global procurement and integrated supply chain experience in a global landscape, preferably through managing supplier improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of high-quality standards, such as VDA 6.3, IATF, and AS9100.
  • Change management skills and excellent communication skills with external business partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Stress resistance, flexibility, problem-solving attitude, and ability to form strong teamwork-based relationships.
  • Fluent in English and willingness to travel.
