About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team at Alstom in Barcelona. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects in line with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technical (QCDT) objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement full supplier selection processes to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Prepare and launch Requests for Quotation with suppliers, leading project negotiations and ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Monitor procurement project QCDT and legal project evolution, including FAI, Business Award, and Product development.
- Ensure work package sheet commitment respect and prepare Business Awards.
- Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Coordinate projects with all departments and ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders.
- Apply the Alstom Procurement process and provide return on experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, supporting commodity strategy and panel elaboration.
- Measure supplier performance and develop them in coordination with supplier Quality Teams.
- Assess and manage risky suppliers, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
- Manage initial issues before escalation to line managers.
- Monitor Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations.
Requirements
- Engineering or Business School master degree.
- Master in Purchasing or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of sourcing professional background.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
- Results-oriented, rigorous, and structured approach.
- International mindset and fluency in English and French.
