Job Overview
The English School, a small, friendly, family-run, fully private school located in Spain, seeks an enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics with ICT expertise for September 2024. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified to teach mathematics from 11 to 18, including IGCSE and A-level, and have the ability to deliver the curriculum with a practical focus. The successful candidate will be committed to developing the independent learning and thinking skills of our students.

Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, preparing, and delivering of departmental schemes of work in accordance with the National Curriculum and with students' needs. Create an effective and stimulating learning environment. Mark, test, assess, and record in accordance with school and department policy. Use progress data to inform subject planning. Contribute to students' end of term reports in line with school policy. Enforce school rules in class and at all times around the school. Liaise with the Head of Secondary or Safeguarding officers, as appropriate, regarding any concerns about individual students. Undertake all other reasonable duties, including break and lunchtime supervision, as requested by the Head of Secondary or Head Teacher.

Requirements
A degree in Mathematics or a relevant degree. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification. C2/Mother tongue level of English. Secure subject knowledge to teach Mathematics across the secondary age range, including IGCSE and A-Level. An ability to challenge all students to achieve excellent progress, in accordance with their needs.
