Key Responsibilities- Project Execution: Support the Project Manager in ensuring the successful execution of customer projects, adhering to our Customer Project Process.
- Integration Process: Establish a defined integration process for various scopes, including SCADA, RTU, control systems, and other components, into complex automation architectures.
- Documentation and Configuration: Prepare functional, HMI specification documents, communication architectures, I/O lists, protection philosophy manuals, and application notes.
- System Configuration and Programming: Configure HMI and/or SCADA systems, controllers, protection relays, and communications equipment.
- Automation and Control Applications: Program automation and control applications using PLC languages such as ST, SFC, FBD, IEC, C, C++, C#, and VB.
- Network Design and Configuration: Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot IT networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cybersecurity features.
- Protocol Expertise: Ensure proficiency in various communication protocols, including IEC, Modbus (serial and TCP/IP), DNP3.0, and IEC-5-.
- System Verification and Testing: Ensure system verification with the technical team indicated by the customer, prepare and implement integration testing plans for factory acceptance and commissioning (FAT/SAT).
- Test Results and Reporting: Register and report test results, and document deviations in a Deviation Report.
- Operational Start-up: Define operational start-up procedures for installed equipment, according to manuals and procedures defined during the engineering phase.
- Team Collaboration: Support the Services and external resources team, work on-site, and participate in the improvement of processes and interfaces with other Schneider Electric units.
- Business Process Adherence: Ensure adherence to business process flow and communicate deviations to the supervisor.
- Documentation and Training: Support the Project Manager in CPP documentation and provide training courses and presentations for internal and external customers.
- Education: Qualified to degree, Science in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineer).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of protection and control systems.
- Project Experience: Experience in implementing protection and control projects for O&G, utilities, or electro-intensive industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge about substation electrical schematics, database and logical development, SCADA software, and IHM basic design.
- Protocol Expertise: Proven experience with communication protocols, including IEC, DNP 3.0, Modbus, and IEC-5-.
- Soft Skills: Reasoning abilities, solution-oriented, creative, ability to anticipate problems, and language abilities (Spanish and English mandatory).
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work on multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, team work spirit, communicative, customer satisfaction oriented, flexible approach to working hours, and willingness to travel abroad if needed.
- Computer Skills: Personal computer skills, including email, database, word, excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and electrical CAD knowledge (preferable).
- Project Management Handbook: Knowledge of the Project Management Handbook (Customer Project Process).
