Research Area or Group: Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials Group at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia. The successful candidate will participate in the development of a European project related to the Design and Synthesis of New Materials via Programmable Disassembly of Reticular Materials.
Main Responsibilities:
- Rational Design and Synthesis of Reticular Materials: Design and study of reticular materials (MOFs, COFs, and/or MOPs) to develop novel functional architectures and devices.
- Characterization and Synthesis: Synthesize and characterize reticular materials to understand their properties and behavior.
- Clip-off Synthesis: Develop new materials/compounds using reticular materials as precursors through clip-off chemistry.
- Sorption Studies: Investigate the sorption properties of reticular materials.
- Scientific Communication: Participate in writing scientific reports and papers, attending project meetings, and scientific conferences, as well as outreach activities within the project.
- Supervision: Supervise PhD students and contribute to their research development.
Requirements:
- Education: PhD Degree in Chemistry
- Professional Experience:
- Topology analysis of reticular materials.
- Reticular Chemistry: design, synthesis, and characterization of MOFs or COFs
- Personal Competences:
- Fluent in English, good communication and writing skills
- Intrinsic motivation, strong commitment, responsibility, independence, teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
- Full-time work (37.5 hours/week)
- Contract Length: 2 months
- Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona)
- Salary will depend on qualifications and demonstrated experience
