We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) in the Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices group.
About the GroupThe Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices group focuses on the material sciences and technology aspects of novel electronic materials, with a strong emphasis on graphene and other 2D materials. Our research aims to develop technological applications based on these materials, such as electronics, bioelectronics, and biosensing, neural interfaces, and more.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities- Design, fabrication, and characterization of multiplexed arrays of graphene transistors for monitoring brain activity.
- Conduct research in the field of neural interfaces and implantable devices, thin-film technology, and device microfabrication.
- Work on the development of 2D materials and technology, electrochemistry, and microscopic and spectroscopic characterization techniques.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve research goals and objectives.
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent degrees.
- Strong knowledge and experience in science and technology of neural interfaces and implantable devices, thin-film technology, and device microfabrication.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English (both spoken and written).
- Full-time work (37.5 hours/week).
