Coforge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams and drive technical strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and executing technical roadmaps, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute technical strategy and roadmaps for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Team Management: Manage engineering teams' technical career paths, technical skills, and structure, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Make data-driven decisions regarding engineering performance and capabilities, using metrics and analytics to inform decisions.
- Culture and Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to align on technical requirements and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact product delivery or team performance, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software engineering, applying them to drive innovation and improve team performance.
- Technical Expertise: Solid technical experience in relevant engineering areas, including software development, systems engineering, and electrical engineering.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in software engineering leadership or management roles, preferably in a software engineering or digital product development environment.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Delivery/DevOps Metrics (DORA Metrics), code quality and security, agile development methodologies, and experience in their implementation.
