Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of modern architectural and engineering practices, with real experience in high-volume, low-latency, and complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Architecture: Collaborate with the team to architect solutions that are scalable and future-oriented.
- Development and Delivery: Lead the development of the solution, actively participating in back-end, front-end, and testing efforts.
- Automation and Deployment: Drive the automation of testing and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Product Ownership: Take ownership of our product end-to-end, ensuring smooth operation and support in production environments.
- Talent Development: Recruit, nurture, and mentor team members to foster a strong and capable engineering team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams to lead and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and manage engineers, with a track record of successfully managing engineers in back-end, front-end, and QA specializations.
- A deep passion for technology, demonstrated by strong expertise in either back-end or front-end development, ideally proficient in both.
- A C1 or higher level of English.
- Hands-on experience with distributed, high-volume products, handling at least 100 transactions per second or managing 1 million page views per month.
- Bonus points for experience with distributed architectures using messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and proficiency in modern DevOps practices, specifically with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like AKS and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
