Job Description

In this role, you will serve as a business partner with project execution functions, sales, solution development, finance, and human resources in collaboration with data science and other planning IBP team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with global sales leaders to assess incoming order intake demand by solution type, identify and mitigate risks associated with skill needs and capacity, and detect areas of constraints or availability.
  • Develop demand forecasts and operational capacity forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation/disaggregation for various time horizons as part of a planning function.
  • Analyze historical sales, execution trends, and financial projections to provide accurate demand forecasts for both new opportunities and backlog projects.
  • Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop, and analyze statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Process project demands through various tools and data sources to drive a more systematic approach.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Lead the monthly Demand meeting and participate in the S&OP monthly process.
  • Create and analyze monthly KPIs and conduct root cause analyses to come up with actions for improvement.
  • Use and maintain the Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics engineers and operations team members to create advanced business intelligence reports that capture key data points and identify trends as well as inform leadership of key areas of opportunity and challenges.
  • Interface with Product Management and R&D teams to incorporate processes for new products and phasing out old products in support of process excellence and its impact on project execution planning.
  • Work with manufacturing and procurement SIOP leadership to develop plans and solve inputs to supply issues.
  • Prepare and present material to regional and global leadership teams and make recommendations based on gathered data and analysis.
  • Work with leaders from various functions on capacities and forecasts, providing the best cost-sourcing solution within the supply network.
  • Initiate and facilitate cross-functional data reviews as necessary to capture critical attributes.
  • Triage data results to identify risk mitigation opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with demand planning and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with Planning software.
