Demand and Capacity Planning Role

Job Description:

Dematic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Management Specialist to join their Global Integrated Business Process (IBP) team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to influence global, regional, and project function execution alignment via optimization of integrated process plans to achieve business objectives.

In this role, you will serve as a business partner with project execution functions, sales, solution development, finance, and human resources in collaboration with data science and other planning IBP team members. Your primary focus will be on working with global sales leaders to assess incoming order intake demand, identifying and mitigating risks with associated skill needs and capacity, and detecting areas of constraints or availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop demand forecasts and operational capacity forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation/disaggregation for various time horizons as part of a planning function.
  • Analyze historical sales, execution trends, and financial projections to provide accurate demand forecasts for both new opportunities and backlog projects.
  • Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop, and analyze statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Process project demands through various tools and data sources to drive a more systematic approach.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, finance, business, supply chain) and more than 5 years of experience related to the responsibilities and/or Business Intelligence. Strong leadership, communication, and networking skills, with proven ability to work successfully in a global team environment across all levels of the organization, are essential.
